Heading into a hairpin turn before its release next month, Ron Howard‘s “Rush” will first have to get around the curve at TIFF, where he hopes audiences will shift into first gear for his true story racing drama. With the movie getting ready to cross the finish line, a few more previews have rushed online. (Sorry, we’re feeling punny today.)
A fresh clip from “Rush” is now online which shows off Chris Hemsworth as hunky racer James Hunt, chatting it up with the lovely Olivia Wilde sporting a somewhat dodgy Brit accent. The film itself chronicles the speedway rivalry between Hunt and Nikki Lauda (Daniel Bruhl), set against the backdrop of the rockin’ ’70s, and thus the soundtrack features some choice cuts from the decade. David Bowie, Thin Lizzy and Steve Winwood have some tunes on the soundtrack, which is mostly rounded out by a score from Hans Zimmer, that we can only imagine will be truly engine-revving.
“Rush” speeds into theaters on September 27th, with the soundtrack dropping on September 10th. Check out the details below along with a clip and featurette.
