Watch: New Scene From 'Django Unchained' With Commentary From Quentin Tarantino & New Trailer

nullWith Christmas landing on Tuesday this year, it's a big opening day for a handful of films, but given that it's coming midweek, studios are giving just an extra little push and reminder, before audiences settle in for the holidays. Perhaps the hardest sell of any movie arriving in theaters is the slavery/western epic "Django Unchained" from Quentin Tarantino, but a couple of intriguing new looks from the movie have arrived.

First up, Tarantino swung by the New York Times to do a segment of their excellent "Anatomy Of A Scene" series, this time centered around a character we haven't seen much of, Broomhilda Von Shaft. Played by Kerry Washington, she's the object of Django's (Jamie Foxx) quest, and this scene — which comes in the latter part of the movie — shows how he works with Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) to finally meet her while they stay at plantation owner Calvin Candie's (Leonardo DiCaprio) mansion. It's easily one of the best scenes in the film — clever, witty and suspenseful — and Tarantino provides compelling insight on his approach.

Meanwhile, a final trailer for the movie has dropped at Yahoo, offering up bits and pieces of new footage, and another reason for fans to get excited to hit the multiplex after opening the presents under the tree. "Django Unchained" rides on December 25th. Watch below.
