Watch: New Teaser For John Woo's Epic 'The Crossing'

The CrossingA love story, a war film and all around epic-sized endeavor, John Woo‘s upcoming "The Crossing" might be his most ambitious film ever. And while we wonder if he’ll find space to cram in some carefully choreographed flying doves, a new teaser has arrived for the movie, promising a story that’s aiming straight for the heart.

Zhang ZiyiHuang Xiamoing and Song Hye-kyo are among the more well known names in the two-part film, which tracks three couples and their intertwining love stories set in 1940s Taiwan and Shanghai, that will involve the tragic 1949 sinking of the ship Taiping. “Lust, Caution” screenwriter Wang Hui-ling penned the script, and with the story set to play out in 3D and IMAX, this is going to be a heckuva spectacle. However, there’s no word yet on when or if U.S. audiences will get a chance to check it out.

Part 1 of "The Crossing" arrives on December 2nd in China, with Part 2 to arrive in time for Chinese New Year in early 2015. Watch the new teaser below. [Vlicious!]
