Watch: New Teaser Trailer For Aardman Animated 'Arthur Christmas'

Christmas has definitely come early this year with a new teaser trailer for “Arthur Christmas,” Sony‘s 3D animated co-production with Aardman. The first teaser definitely got us interested back in December and the new one is equally entertaining. Boasting a talented cast that includes James McAvoy, Hugh Laurie, Jim Broadbent, Imelda Staunton and Bill Nighy, the movie should be an enjoyable holiday film for children and adults.

Co-directed by Sarah Smith and Barry Cook, the basis of the film is a clever take on the Santa Claus mythology, which reveals that he has two sons: the younger one, Arthur (McAvoy), and the older one, Steve (Laurie). Arthur is a goofball (maybe even a little slow) who is way too excited about Christmas, while Steve is the responsible one who runs the elf “labor camps” — who assist Santa in making and delivering the toys — with a drill sergeant’s attitude and commitment. The animation looks terrific, and McAvoy’s sweet and innocent delivery makes the character. But, there is less goofy charm in this teaser than its predecessor so we’re still not quite sure how this will shape up.

“Arthur Christmas” will hit theaters on November 23, 2011. Check out the trailer and the new poster for the film after the jump.
