Watch: New Trailer & Clip For Sundance-Approved Horror 'The Hallow' Starring Joseph Mawle & Michael Smiley

HallowIt’s an exciting time to be a horror fan — rarely has the genre seen such a diversity of fare, from mega-hits like “The Conjuring” to indies like “You’re Next” (let alone the wealth of horror shows on TV), and barely a month goes by without the emergence of some bright new talent.

The latest, it appears, could be Corin Hardy. Hotly tipped by Edgar Wright, among others, he’s come up through shorts and music videos for the likes of The Prodigy and Keane, before making his feature debut at Sundance this year with “The Hallow.” The film stars “Game Of Thrones”’ Joseph Mawle and Bojana Novakovic (“Edge Of Darkness”) as a young couple who move to the Irish countryside, only to find dark things in the woods.

Mawle’s fellow Westeros inhabitant Michael McElhatton (AKA Roose Bolton) and Ben Wheatley fave Michael Smiley are also in the cast. A new trailer has arrived, one of the creepier-looking we’ve seen in a while that hints at the film’s horrifying creatures, along with a new clip. IFC Midnight are releasing the movie on November 6th — could we have found this year’s “Babadook?” Take a look at the footage below.
