It’s not everyday that you see a comedy set among NGO aid workers, and "A Perfect Day" might just be the starriest. Following its recent Cannes Film Festival debut, the promo push is going hard for the picture with a brand new trailer arriving today, even though a U.S. release date for the movie hasn’t yet been set by IFC Films.
Benicio Del Toro, Tim Robbins, Olga Kurylenko, and Melanie Thierry lead the movie as aid workers who have one simple task in the Balkans: remove a dead body from a well so it doesn’t contaminate the drinking the water. It seems like an easy enough job, but the comedy highlights the absurd bureaucracies and personalities that need to be engaged with to get the job done. But the movie is an uneven affair, with our review noting "it feel less like a movie and more like a middling TV pilot."
Check the new trailer below and keep your eyes peeled for its arrival at a theater near you. [Variety]
