Watch: New Trailer For Ben Stiller's 'The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty' Arrives

When the first trailer arrived for “The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty” this past summer, it took many by surprise. Ben Stiller‘s remake of Danny Kaye‘s 1947 musical fantasy looked like it had it’s own unique magic, one that got many talking about its Oscar potential. This past weekend, that theory got tested as ‘Mitty’ made its world premiere at the New York Film Festival to decidedly mixed reviews, and far from the sort of raves that would sustain a picture through the awards season. That being said, there is still a long haul to go and Fox isn’t stopping yet.

A brand new trailer has arrived for the movie to keep the word going—good or bad—and offers up even more from the film. We’ll leave it you to share your verdict below, but here’s what our man in New York had to say about the film: It’s “not a terrible movie per se, but it is largely unsophisticated and prosaic in most of its sentiments. Extremely ambitious in scope—the movie takes on several genres at once, including fantasy, romantic comedy, action, adventure and more—’The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’ does have good intentions, but the road here is often paved with cloying misdirection.”

Co-starring Kristen Wiig, Kathryn Hahn, Adam Scott, Patton Oswalt and Sean Penn, “The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty” opens on Christmas Day. Check out the new trailer below.
