This summer, a man in shiny suit who can defy gravity will be coming to theaters everywhere. Nope, he’s not a superhero—he’s just the hardest-working man in show business, and he’s coming to the big screen in all his fiery fury.
A new trailer has dropped for the James Brown biopic “Get On Up,” which brings together “The Help” director Tate Taylor, and “42” star Chadwick Boseman, in what Universal hopes will be a summertime sizzler. The movie will tell the story of the rise of the soul-singing sensation, his troubled family relations, personal troubles, and of course, his various musical triumphs. It looks like a pretty slick piece of entertainment, but let’s hope it has some, uh, soul, too.
“Get On Up” hits the stage on August 1st. Watch below.
