Love, sex, relationships…porn? Yep, that XXX material once relegated to magazines stuffed under mattresses and shoved into rarely used dresser drawers is now nearly mainstream. Everyone looks at it, but what if looking at that material was part of your daily life to the point where it affected how you relate to the opposite sex? That’s the jumping off point for Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s feature directorial debut “Don Jon,” and a new trailer has arrived to give you a sample of what he’s put together.
Written by and starring Gordon-Levitt as well, alongside an ensemble that includes Scarlett Johansson, Tony Danza and Julianne Moore, the story follows a stereotypical New Jersey guido who loves women and yet is addicted to porn, who embarks on a journey to find a more gratifying sex life, but meets two women who forever change his outlook. As we noted in our review from Sundance, it’s a charming and impressive effort all around, and one that will likely be a great treat this fall for audiences.
