“The Expendables 3” certainly isn’t lacking in action firepower bringing together Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Terry Crews, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Ronda Rousey, Kelsey Grammer and Kellan Lutz to kick various kinds of butt and explode things in the latest (and apparently) final franchise entry. But one person you’ll never see pal around with Stallone and co? Steven Seagal. “I just (don’t) like some of the people involved. Life is too short to work with funny people,” he told The Big Issue. Okay then, but we’re pretty sure Sly isn’t too worried about it.
The new trailer for “The Expendables 3” has rolled like a tank online, and it’s not subtle in the slightest. But then again, you don’t go to these movies for nuance, depth or character. Instead, it establishes Gibson as the bad guy, a former Expendable who fell out with the group and……..BOOM EXPLOSIONS. Coming off like a supercut of people getting punched, cars flipping over and lots of quips, you’ve probably decided a while ago if you dig this series or not. And if you do, this will probably fit the bill.
