Watch: New Trailer For 'The Great Gatsby' Is Basically 'Jazz Age Spring Breakers'

nullAll you need to know about how confident Warner Bros. is about “The Hangover Part III” versus their faith in Baz Luhrmann‘s “The Great Gatsby” is apparent in their promotional campaigns. One movie has only dropped a couple of trailers, a few posters and a small handful of stills. The other is deep in with multiple spots, numerous soundtrack previews, lots of posters and something new to gawk at nearly every day. But yes, basing a spring tentpole on an adaptation of a book published in 1925 is a risk even with Leonardo DiCaprio starring, so this one is throwing out as much glitter as it can in advance of its release next month.

A new trailer has dropped for “The Great Gatsby,” mixing up some new and old footage, but mostly showing how Fergie, Q-Tip and GoonRock‘s “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got)” (listen to it in full here) will shove its way into the movie. And basically, the club banger turns ‘Gatsby’ into “Jazz Age Spring Breakers” with lots of bass drops, wild partying and beautiful people. If Harmony Korine went period piece with his movie, it might look something like this. And now that we’re thinking about it, James Franco as Alien as Jay Gatsby would be the most amazing thing ever.

“The Great Gatsby” hits on May 10th. Watch below. [NewNowNext]
