There was a lot to talk about after the first trailer for Wes Anderson‘s “Grand Budapest Hotel” dropped earlier this fall. In fact, we did a fairly obsessive and thorough trailer breakdown, that noted, among other things, that the film is shot in three different aspect ratios and is (mostly) set in the 1930s. But there is still much to be unwrapped from the film, so consider this an early Christmas present.
A brand new trailer focusing on the characters has arrived for “Grand Budaptest Hotel,” which opens the upcoming Berlin Film Festival. The film stars Ralph Fiennes as Gustave H., the concierge of the titular hotel, with Tony Revolori as his sidekick, Zero Moustafa. Amongst the rest of the ensemble is F. Murray Abraham as the older version of the Zero character; Edward Norton as policeman Henckels, Mathieu Amalric as Serge, and Saoirse Ronan as the young love interest Agatha, while Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Lea Seydoux, Jeff Goldblum, Jason Schwartzman, Jude Law, Tilda Swinton, Harvey Keitel, Tom Wilkinson, Bill Murray and Owen Wilson round things out. Wes Anderson’s new film, THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL, recounts the adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend.
The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for an enormous family fortune — all against the back-drop of a suddenly and dramatically changing Continent.
