Watch: New U.S. Trailer For Yorgos Lanthimos' 'The Lobster' Starring Colin Farrell, Rachel Weisz, John C. Reilly, Léa Seydoux & Ben Whishaw

The LobsterHad things gone according to plan, audiences would already be enjoying "The Lobster." However, shortly after the first U.S. trailer for the movie arrived, its previous distributor Alchemy ran into some financial trouble and began selling off the rights to films under their roof, with Yorgos Lanthimos’ movie landing at A24. All was quiet for a while, but the good news is that the delay in reaching cinemas won’t be too long for this oddball film.

Colin Farrell, Rachel Weisz, John C. Reilly, Léa Seydoux, and Ben Whishaw star in the film, which chronicles the search for love through the very distinct lens of the Greek auteur, who brings a premise that’s perhaps best explained by the the official synopsis below:

A love story set in the near future where single people, according to the rules of The City, are arrested and transferred to The Hotel. There they are obliged to find a matching mate in 45 days. If they fail, they are transformed into an animal of their choosing and released into The Woods. A desperate Man escapes from The Hotel to The Woods where The Loners live and falls in love, although it is against their rules.
