Whoa, this is a bit of a surprise. David Ayer‘s “Suicide Squad” does not land in theaters for more than a year, but it looks like the studio has an early gift for fans. With Comic-Con in the rearview mirror, Ayer has dropped the official sizzle reel footage that screened in San Diego over the weekend, so say farewell to that grainy version floating around the web.
Yep, you’ll see The Joker as played by Jared Leto, plus Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney and more from the film that could be at the cusp of Warner Bros. giving Marvel a run for their money next year.
“Suicide Squad” opens on August 5, 2016. Watch the trailer below, and if you’re wondering, the song in the trailer is a version of Bee Gees‘ "I Started A Joke."
Jared Leto’s Joker voice sounded a lot like his Panic Room character. He didn’t manipulate his voice all that much.
