One of the most divisive films of last year, Christopher Nolan’s fascinating, awe-inspiring, trippy and overall mind-blowing hard science-fiction epic "Interstellar," (the best film of 2014, in this writer’s opinion) is being released on Blu-Ray tomorrow. On the other side of its defenders, some critics and audiences also refer to “Interstellar” as Christopher Nolan’s confusing, bloated and nonsensical soft science-fiction blunder. Only time will tell which side will be vindicated (hint: my side will), which is kind of poetic considering the film’s subject matter.
If you’re a big fan of Cooper, Murph and TARS (Who doesn’t love TARS?) and can’t wait to get your hands on those sweet Blu-Ray extras, YouTube user Jason Murphy is on your side. The Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack comes with tons of extras, the most comprehensive of which is a long series of short documentaries, presented under the “Inside Interstellar” umbrella. You can watch all of the “Inside Interstellar” documentaries below, which cover a wide range of subjects from production design to special effects, costume design, sound, thoughts on the film’s themes and science, even an awesome doc on TARS and CASE.
However, don’t think you’ve seen all of the extras the Blu-Ray offers. The combo pack also comes with an hour-long documentary, "The Science of Interstellar," narrated by Matthew McConaughey himself, and covers a lot of the science that “Interstellar” is inspired by.
