With the double whammy of "Cars 2" and "Brave" finding Pixar a bit off their game lately, for those of you looking to be reminded of what they can do when they're firing on all cylinders, the little "La Luna" may be what you're looking for.
Directed by Pixar vet Enrico Casarosa, who worked as a storyboard artist on "Ratatouille" and "Up," the short fable tells the coming of age tale of a young boy who is taken out for the very first time by his Papa and Grandpa to work on their boat. But what he discovers next is a big surprise. The picture has played a few festivals, and went on to earn a nomination for Best Animated Short at the Oscars last year. And now you can give the whole thing a spin below.
If you like it, you can own it for yourself as it's part of the "Pixar Shorts Collection 2," which arrives in stores on November 13th. [via /Film]
