Yes, while they do have some original stuff on the way — “The Good Dinosaur,” “The Inside Out” and The Untitled Movie about The Día de los Muertos” (read up on ’em here), today reminds us that sometimes it’s all C.R.E.A.M. at Pixar oh sorry, Disney. Earlier today we got the release date locked down for “Finding Dory” aka “Finding Nemo 2” and now, a movie that was originally going to be fill bargain bins on DVD, is now trying to prove its multiplex material.
A new preview has landed for “Planes,” a spinoff from “Cars,” and yes it’s basically a different breed of vehicles that can talk. Dane Cook, of all people, leads the voice cast as Dusty Crophopper, a crop duster with a big heart who dreams of competing as a high-flying air racer. The only problem is that only was not he not built for racing, he’s afraid of heights! Oh no! But as this new clip shows, it won’t be too long before everyone is zipping around the air at top speed and learning life lessons or whatever.
Stacy Keach, Brad Garrett, Teri Hatcher, Cedric the Entertainer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, John Cleese, Carlos Alazraqui, Priyanka Chopra, Gabriel Iglesias, Roger Craig Smith, Colin Cowherd, Sinbad (!!!), Oliver Kalkofe and Brent Musburger lend their skills. “Planes” gets ready for departure on August 9th. In 3D.
