Watch: Powerful Trailer For Peter Jackson-Produced 'West Of Memphis'

nullYou might think after the three, highly acclaimed "Paradise Lost" documentaries from Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky, not to mention the incredible amount of press around the case of the West Memphis Three, that the dramatic well has run dry on the subject. You would be wrong. Director Amy Berg revisits the case in the upcoming "West of Memphis," and this new trailer shows that the tale of justice not served continues to be a powerful one.

Produced and presented by Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh, the film recaps the case of Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley, three teenagers accused and found guilty of the heinous murders of Stevie Branch, Chris Byers and Michael Moore. But while their convictions were swift, it soon came to light that not only were they innocent, that there was much more to the investigation that prosecutors failed to look into, favoring expediency over getting to the truth. And that's where "West of Memphis" goes, in a film that apparently not so subtly suggets the person who committed the crimes is still free.

Earning raves at Sundance earlier in the year, Sony Pictures Classics will release the film on Christmas Day. Watch below and check out the new poster as well.
