Since its historic win at the Cannes Film Festival in May, where director Abdellatif Kechiche and stars Adele Exarchopoulos and Lea Seydoux shared the Palme d’Or for “Blue Is The Warmest Color,” the epic love story has earned no shortage of press. From its boundary pushing NC-17 rated sex scenes, to the very public battle between the director and stars over a reportedly contentious shoot, the movie has survived the various slings and arrows, landing on numerous year end top ten lists, and through it all, the performance of Exarchopoulos has astonished nearly everyone who has seen the movie. So how about some awards season love?

While it’s not eligible for Best Foreign Film at the Oscars (though it’s nominated in the category at the Golden Globes), that doesn’t mean it can’t get recognized in other categories, and Sundance Selects is hoping voters won’t forget about Exarchopoulos’ stunning turn. They’ve dropped a new red band trailer for “Blue Is The Warmest Color” reminding voters of the accolades that both the film and actress has received. Mixing scenes from the movies with press coverage for Exarchopoulos, it’s a nice spot that cuts through the noise.

In case you missed it in theaters, “Blue Is The Warmest Color” arrives on home video via The Criterion Collection in February in a bare bones edition, with the company already promising a deluxe release will follow. Watch below.
