The latest from “The Good, the Bad, the Weird” director Kim Ji-Woon, “I Saw the Devil,” has been doing the festival rounds for the past little while picking up strong notices at each stop. We saw the film at Sundance, calling it “ugly, gratuitous, sad, brutal, complex, and terrific,” and now a fresh, bloody red band trailer has arrived so if you haven’t been swayed yet for the film, this should do the trick.
Starring Lee Byung-hyun (“The Good, the Bad, the Weird”) and Choi Min-sik (“Oldboy“), the film tells the story of a man who seeks revenge on the serial killer who killed his pregnant wife — and becomes a monster in the process. It certainly looks stylish and effectively spine-chilling, and for those of us who couldn’t make it to Park City, we certainly look forward to checking it out.
“I Saw The Devil” hits VOD and theaters on March 4th. Trailer below. [IGN]
