Watch: Rob Ford Visits 'Jimmy Kimmel,' Toronto Mayor's Wild Story Optioned For Movie Or TV Project

Rob Ford

Toronto’s shame and Canada’s national embarrassment, mayor Rob Ford continues to make headlines, despite being stripped of most of his powers of office. With an election looming, he probably reckons any press is good press, and sadly, he’s probably right.

Ford hit “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last night and to the talk show host’s credit, he wasn’t easy on Ford. Perhaps most remarkably, he suggested the mayor may need some real help. “If you are an alcoholic, drinking enough that he would try crack in his 40s and you don’t remember it, maybe that’s something that you might want to think about, like talking to somebody,” Kimmel. But Ford blew it off typical fashion saying, “I wasn’t elected to be perfect, Jimmy, I was elected to clean up the mess that I inherited, and that’s exactly what I’ve done.”

So where does this all fit with the purpose of movie news? Well, you might be seeing Rob Ford story on a whole other level soon. THR reports that Canadian company Blue Ice Pictures has nabbed the rights to the much-talked-about account of Ford’s life, “Crazy Town: The Rob Ford Story,” written by Toronto Star reporter Robyn Doolittle. No word yet on whether it will become a film or TV project, but you can start dream casting now. Watch below.
