Watch: Rock 'n Roll With New Trailer For Cameron Crowe's Showtime Series 'Roadies'

While the behind-the-scenes worlds of movie and television productions are familiar to even the most casual of viewers, when it comes to concerts, the people who make the magic happen haven’t really had their due. Until now. This summer, Cameron Crowe brings “Roadies” to Showtime, and as the title indicates, it’s not the people on stage that will matter so much in this new series, but those tuning the guitars, and lugging the amps.

Luke WilsonCarla Gugino, Imogen Poots, Rafe Spall, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Peter Cambor, Colson Baker, and Ron White are the main players, with Luis Guzman, Jacqueline Byers, Finesse Mitchell, Branscombe Richmond, and Tanc Sade sliding into guest roles in this series which brings romance, comedy and drama as a group of roadies hit the road, and manage a sixty concert tour. Here’s the synopsis:

Roadies gives an insider’s look at the reckless, romantic, funny and often poignant lives of a committed group of “roadies” who live for music and the de facto family they’ve formed along the way. The music-infused ensemble comedy series chronicles the rock world through the eyes of music’s unsung heroes and puts the spotlight on the backstage workers who put the show on the road while touring the United States for a successful arena-level band.
