Watch: Romance Takes 'The Longest Ride' In New Trailer For Nicholas Sparks Adaptation

The Longest RideA bull rider and college student fall for each other in the upcoming romance "The Longest Ride." And while it might sound like a "Fifty Shades Of Grey" parody that I’d call "Fifty Shades Of Hay," this is very much a Serious Love Story with two very attractive people with the kind of problems and circumstances only found in a Nicholas Sparks book….which this movie happens to be based on. And just in time for Valentine’s Day, a new trailer has arrived.

Scott Eastwood and Britt Robertson star in the George Tillman Jr.-directed movie about a relationship that’s tested (of course), and how they find the spark to keep falling in love or something. Here’s the official synopsis:

Based on the bestselling novel by master storyteller Nicholas Sparks, THE LONGEST RIDE centers on the star-crossed love affair between Luke, a former champion bull rider looking to make a comeback, and Sophia, a college student who is about to embark upon her dream job in New York City’s art world. As conflicting paths and ideals test their relationship, Sophia and Luke make an unexpected connection with Ira, whose memories of his own decades-long romance with his beloved wife deeply inspire the young couple. Spanning generations and two intertwining love stories, THE LONGEST RIDE explores the challenges and infinite rewards of enduring love.
Alan Alda is in this, so maybe not all hope is lost. "The Longest Ride" saddles up for love on April 10th. Bring your own hankies.
