Ok, so “I Love You, Man” wasn’t quite the laff-out-loud comedy we were hoping for, but it provided some good gags and gave Paul Rudd yet another trademark line: “Slappa da bass!”
Well, courtesy of Funny Or Die, we now know what might’ve happend if Sidney Fife (Jason Segel) and Peter Klaven (Rudd) met their rock gods, Rush. And well, it’s mildly amusing much like the feature film that preceded it. The duo — and Peter’s double bass — meet the rock band backstage and much miscommunication and hijinks ensue.
