So, is anyone excited for this sequel? Maybe I’m not talking to the right people or hanging out in the right places, but there seems to be decidedly smaller buzz for "Insurgent." Certainly, there is a fan base for this movie, one that coughed up over $285 million worldwide for "Divergent," but will those same people be back? And more importantly, will new people join the fold to make this franchise a bigger success? All questions that will be answered soon, but first, here’s a new trailer.
Shailene Woodley and Theo James are back in action, fighting for their lives and love, or something. And while I might fly the "whatevs" flag on this movie pretty hard, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t intrigued by the rather stacked supporting cast which includes Octavia Spencer, Jai Courtney, Ray Stevenson, Zoë Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, Daniel Dae Kim, with Naomi Watts, and Kate Winslet. There are some pretty decent names in there.
