Watch: Steve Carell Is 'Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World' With Keira Knightley In New Trailer

nullWhat would you do if you had three weeks before the world ends? Would you coldly accept it like Kirsten Dunst in "Melancholia" or freak the fuck out like her sister in the film, Charlotte Gainsbourg? The answer is likely somewhere in the middle, and in Lorene Scafaria's "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World," everyone is handling their imminent demise differently.

The first trailer has dropped for the film starring Steve Carell and Keira Knightley and it's certainly as high concept as they get. With the end of life on Earth not too far away, Knightley and Carell make a pact to track down his first lost love, while he'll help her find her family. Along the way, they bump into the extensive supporting cast, including a sex-mad, devil-may-care Patton Oswalt and a particuarly high-haired (and hilarious) T.J. Miller. The tone of this is going to be make or break, but if there is any gravitas, you're not going to find it in the trailer. It's essentially Carell doing his straight man, everyday guy routine with Knightley bouncing around him in a pretty surreal setting. It's energetic for sure, but we're curious to see if the film can keep up that pace.

But we won't have to wait long. 'The End of World' will happen on June 22nd. Watch below.
