When last we saw HBO’s “Entourage” … well, that’s the thing. The show, chronicling the acting career of a young A-list movie star Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) and his exploits with his buddies as they navigated the move from Queens, New York City to the unfamiliar terrain of Los Angeles, was entertaining at first. Co-starring Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara, Jeremy Piven, Debi Mazar, Perrey Reeves, Rex Lee, Rhys Coiro, Gary Cole, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Scott Caan, the show was never great but was an enjoyable look at celebrity culture, friendship and Hollywood.
But things went South fast, so I can’t tell you what happened in the show’s final season. It quickly became the butt of jokes in Hollywood (see Seth Rogen and friends attacking its celebration of douchebaggery). But that’s what a trailer is for. Directed by Doug Ellin, creator, executive producer and head writer for the series, “Entourage” the movie picks up where the series left off, chronicling Chase’s continuing career and his entourage of friends. Why a movie? Good question.
Due in theaters on June 5, 2015, the first trailer for the movie has arrived. Do you care? Will you be there buying a ticket next summer? Check out the trailer below and sound off in the comments.
