We've been eagerly awaiting "Take This Waltz," Sarah Polley's directorial follow-up to her excellent "Away From Her," and with the film set to hit theaters later this year, we now have our first trailer for the movie which promises to be another solid effort from the writer/actress/director.
The film stars Michelle Williams and Seth Rogen as a young couple who struggle with monogamy and fidelity, as the former is torn between her husband and a new man. Sarah Silverman and Luke Kirby round out the cast that has been described as sexually frank, somewhat explicit, but bracingly honest about the complex emotions that arise out of sex and love. Featuring a soundtrack heavy on Canadian legend Leonard Cohen (not surprising, given the film's title), our A-grade review from TIFF called the movie "a modernist version of a late '60s or early '70s relationship film" that delivers "a knockout punch."
No release date yet, but Magnolia Pictures is expected to unspool the film this summer. The trailer is below (thanks to AlexLeRose for the heads up) and in case you missed it, click here for three clips from the film.
