Damon Lindelof sure does like his stories about people who go missing. In addition to "Lost," with its chronicling the lives of those who vanished on Oceanic Airlines Flight 815, the producer/writer returns to the world of the vanished with "The Leftovers," coming this summer from HBO. And a new teaser is here hoping to get you hooked.
Starring Justin Theroux, Liv Tyler, Christopher Eccleston, Amy Brenneman, Michael Gaston and Ann Dowd, and based on the book by Tom Perotta, the story follows a Rapture-like event that sees whole swaths of humanity summoned up to heaven…or were they? That’s the question Lindelof will try to answer (hopefully satisfactorily) in the new show, which seems to fuse a similar formula of the dramatic and supernatural in its approach to the central tale. But, before we get too excited, we’ll approach with caution.
"The Leftovers" debuts on June 15th at 10 PM.
