Watch: Trailer For Former Philip Seymour Hoffman Show 'Happyish' Now Starring Steve Coogan

HappyishYou have to feel a little bit for Steve Coogan, who will face, in every review and interview for the upcoming Showtime series "Happyish," a comparison to Philip Seymour Hoffman. The late actor was attached to star in the series before his tragic death last year, and after a pause, the network decided to press on, swapping in Coogan for Hoffman. But credit to Coogan for clearly making the role his own.

The first trailer for "Happyish" is here and Coogan fits the role of an uncomfortably, unhappy middle-aged man quite perfectly. Co-starring Kathryn Hahn, Bradley Whitford, Ellen Barkin, Carrie Preston, Molly Price, and Andre Royo, the show centers on a mid-40s man whose career is thrown for a loop when he gets a new, much younger, social media savvy boss. Coogan has a bit of a Woody Allen thing going on, but with just enough of his own flavor to call the role all his own.

"Happyish" debuts on April 26th. [Slashfilm]
