And the folks at Cineflect have decided to present their Best Films Of 2015 (Thus Far) in a well-put together video essay that provides imagery and commentary on their choices.

The ten choices features a great mix of foreign films ("White God," "Timbuktu"), underrated efforts ("Far From The Madding Crowd"—glad to see it getting some love here) and popular hits too ("Mad Max: Fury Road," "It Follows"). And one trend I noticed across all the choices were the great roles for women in almost every selection too. It has been a pretty diverse, and terrific time at the movies across the first six months of 2015, particularly if you’ve skipped the multiplex and decided to try more challenging and substantive indie and arthouse fare.
