Watch: Vince Vaughn & Owen Wilson Are Saving Lives In First Clip From 'The Internship' Plus New Pics

nullAs much as we’re hoping that “The Internship” will be a guilty comedy pleasure this summer, the news that it’s coming with a PG-13 rating is a bit of bummer. While director Shawn Levy told Collider that they had also shot R-rated versions of jokes and gags (presumably for a future unrated home video edition), we think going PG-13 into theaters is a bit of an ill-advised move here. Who wants to go see Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn in a sanitized comedy, when they delivered a smash R-rated hit with “Wedding Crashers“? And with stuff like “Bridesmaids” and of course “The Hangover” proving to be mega-hits with the R stamp, why not let the F-bombs fly?

Anyway, we suppose it doesn’t matter at this point, and the first clip from “The Internship” is here and it’s…amusing. It’s not in classic “Wedding Crashers”/”Old School” territory, but we have to admit, once the sequence builds steam, we were laughing. In case you forgot, Vaughn and Wilson play a couple of unemployed dudes who try to get jobs at Google. Tech and nerd jokes ensue, and we’re just hoping it’ll leave us amused for 90 minutes. If it does more than that, it will be beyond our expectations.

“The Internship” opens on June 7th. Clip below and some pics via Collider.
