Disney‘s "Inside Out" has premiered at Cannes receiving strong reviews (here’s ours), and assuring fans of Pixar that the company still has plenty of creative, non-sequel juice in the tank. And while Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling, and Phyllis Smith provide the English voices for the film, as is usually the case, for international releases, different celebrities voices are used to deliver the movie in local languages. And for French Quebec, current Cannes jury member, and wunderkind filmmaker Xavier Dolan is lending his voice to the character of Fear (voiced by Hader in the English version).
In a new behind-the-scenes featurette (in French), you can watch Dolan perform his lines en francais. It’s fun watching him get animated (sorry) for Pixar’s movie, and as fans of the filmmaker know, he’s long been a go-to voiceover artist in Quebec playing Ron Weasley in the "Harry Potter" films, Tad in "Finding Nemo," Stan in "South Park" and more.
As for the movie you’ll be seeing, in English, two new clips have arrived highlighting the animated film’s clever conceit of taking place inside the mind of a young girl. "Inside Out" opens on June 19th.
