Around the holiday season last year, Seth Rogen was fighting off controversy on a few fronts thanks to "The Interview," but he’s back with a project this year which shouldn’t raise anyone’s ire. Along with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, he’s reteamed with "50/50" director Jonathan Levine for "The Night Before," has pulled in Anthony Mackie for good measure, and the first trailer is here.
Also featuring Jillian Bell, Lizzy Caplan, Michael Shannon and Mindy Kaling, the story follows three childhood friends who have celebrated the holidays together for years. However, their lives have all become busier, so they’re going to go out in style with one last celebration. Here’s the official synopsis:
From Jonathan Levine, the acclaimed director of 50/50, comes the new comedy The Night Before. Ethan (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Isaac (Seth Rogen) and Chris (Anthony Mackie) have been friends since childhood, and for a decade, their yearly Christmas Eve reunion has been an annual night of debauchery and hilarity. Now that they’re entering adulthood, the tradition is coming to an end, and to make it as memorable as possible, they set out to find the Nutcracka Ball – the Holy Grail of Christmas parties.
"The Night Before" opens on November 25th. Watch below.
