'Where The Crawdads Sing': Taylor Swift's New Song Graces The New Trailer Starring Daisy Edgar-Jones

By now, you’ve heard us likely talk about Sony’s upcoming romantic Southern Gothic thriller “Where the Crawdads Sing.” The book was a huge sensation in the Oprah Bookclub world, Reese Witherspoon is a producer who is actively championing the movie and promoting it (see the new featurette below) and it stars up and coming actor Daisy Edgar-Jones (“Normal People) and Harris Dickinson (“The King’s Man”). The studio is high and confident in the film releasing it in the heart of the summer, seemingly strong counter-programming to comic book movies and blockbusters.  The film tells the story of a woman (Edgar-Jones) who raised herself in the marshes of the deep South and becomes a suspect in the murder of a man she was once involved with.

Drawn to two young men from town, Kya opens herself to a new and startling world; but when one of them is found dead, she is immediately cast by the community as the main suspect. As the case unfolds, the verdict as to what actually happened becomes increasingly unclear, threatening to reveal the many secrets that lay within the marsh.
