The Wrap is reporting that Will Ferrell is set to produce and star in the Spanish-language comedy “Casa de mi padre.”
Details about the project are being kept tight but the film, titled “House Of My Father” in English will apparently be entirely in Spanish with subtitles for those of us not fluent in the language. The project is set up through Ferrell’s Gary Sanchez Productions and a director hasn’t yet been named, but it won’t be frequent collaborator Adam McKay.
This is certainly an interesting turn for the comedic actor and for many of his frat boy fan base, it will definitely be the first (and possibly last) time they ever watch a film with subtitles.
