There are some who demand that any actor who has appeared in a past superhero movie taking place in a distinct universe should be forbidden from joining any contemporary superhero blockbuster taking place in another universe. I am not one of those people.

Sure, Willem Dafoe was Norman Osborne/Green Goblin in Sam Raimi‘s "Spider-Man" movies, but that film was released in 2002, so his just announced appearance in the upcoming "Justice League" shouldn’t be so jarring that it would throw anyone for a loop. As for what role he’s playing in Zack Snyder‘s film, that’s being kept under wraps for now, but I’ll leave it to DC fans to speculate. (He’s apparently playing a "good guy").
