You Will Never Find Him: Captivating New Trailer For Kathryn Bigelow's 'Zero Dark Thirty'

Get Oscar ready? We'll see, but any thoughts that this was going to be mostly just a bunch of guys in rooms looking at charts and maps is dead wrong. The brand new and meaty trailer for "Zero Dark Thirty" has landed, and it's pretty captivating stuff.

As you know, the film features a hell of an ensemble, some of whom still aren't glimpsed here. But to break it down for you, the principal cast is: Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Joel Edgerton, Mark Strong, Jennifer Ehle, Kyle Chandler and Edgar Ramirez. Everyone else, like Chris Pratt, Scott Adkins, Harold Perrineau, Frank Grillo, James Gandolfini, Mark Duplass and more are supporting players.

But beyond the cast comes a film that looks like it will take viewers every step of the way from hunting, finding and finally killing the terrorist leader. Perhaps most striking is the unease and uncertainty, with political fallout lurking on the fringes, and the blind faith it takes to suit up and finally do the job at the core. While some folks (conservatives) were concerned this would be a flag-waving Team Obama movie, it appears to be something much more about the risks and sacrifices of a job that is operating at the highest levels under the tighest security imaginable.

Here's the official synopsis:

For a decade, an elite team of intelligence and military operatives, working in secret across the globe, devoted themselves to a single goal: to find and eliminate Osama bin Laden. Zero Dark Thirty reunites the Oscar® winning team of director-producer Kathryn Bigelow and writer-producer Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker) for the story of history's greatest manhunt for the world's most dangerous man.

"Zero Dark Thirty" arrives in theaters on December 19th. Watch below.
