Zazie Beetz & Betty Gabriel Join Jordan Peele's 'The Twilight Zone' Revival

Ever since “Get Out” turned into a major blockbuster and Oscar-winning film in 2017, Jordan Peele’s been on a tear, spearheading numerous TV series and film projects. Outside of his upcoming follow-up feature film “Us,” the Peele project that has us the most excited has to be his revival of “The Twilight Zone.” This excitement stems from the fact that the producer has assembled the best cast we’ve seen this side of an ‘Avengers’ film.

And according to a new report from Deadline, “The Twilight Zone” cast just keeps getting better and better. The report states that actresses Zazie Beetz and Betty Gabriel are the latest names to join the anthology project, and will both appear in an “early episode” of the April-premiering CBS All Access series.

Beetz is probably best known for her scene-stealing work in “Atlanta,” but also had a huge breakout role in last year’s “Deadpool 2.” Most recently, the actress has appeared in Steven Soderbergh’s Netflix film “High Flying Bird” and will soon be seen in the thriller “Wounds,” as well as the highly-anticipated DC film “Joker.”

Gabriel is definitely known for her performance in the Peele hit “Get Out,” where she played the maid/grandmother. While the crying scene from “Get Out” will forever be etched in the minds of film fans everywhere, Gabriel will surely be a welcome addition to whatever episode of “The Twilight Zone” she appears in. In addition to her “Get Out” work, she’s appeared in the horror films “The Purge: Election Year” and “Unfriended: Dark Web,” as well as the HBO series “Westworld.”
