There is something to be said for simplicity. The upcoming film from “The Strangers” director Bryan Bertino had been promoted with the title “There Are Monsters” for a while, but now it has been condensed to “The Monster.” And without any doubt that the finished product will contain some kind of menace, a new trailer for the horror flick has arrived.

Starring Zoe Kazan, Scott Speedman and Ella Ballentine, the film follows a mother and daughter on a late night trip that see them taking a terrifying journey. Here’s the official synopsis:
