Exclusive: New Photos From 'Afternoon Delight' Starring Juno Temple & Kathryn Hahn; Plus Watch A New Clip From The Film

Afternoon Delight

Heading into the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, “Afternoon Delight” wasn’t beeping on our radar, but perhaps it should have. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Jill Soloway, a writer and producer behind hit shows “The United States Of Tara” and “Six Feet Under.” Even more, she rounded up an excellent trio of leads in Kathryn Hahn, Juno Temple and Josh Radnor. So it’s hardly a wonder that not only was the film a success, but an award winner too, earning Soloway a Best Directing trophy in Park City. And now the film is headed to theaters, and as we told you a few weeks back, it’s one of the highlights this August.

Penned by Soloway, the film tells the story of s Rachel (Hahn), a woman in the midst of a marital crisis, who falls into a friendship with McKenna (Temple), a stripper with a troubled past, and invites her to live at her home while she gets back on her feet. McKenna becomes Rachel’s nanny, but when there are still a couple more secrets to be uncovered, and things take a darker turn. In our review from Sundance, we praised the movie for its blend of comedy and drama, that is both enjoyable and resonates on a deeper level as well.

“Afternoon Delight” is in theaters on August 30th. Check out some exclusive images along with a clip from the film.
