There were passionate voices on either side, but for me, the conversation is only worth having if everyone looks at the fallout from what turns out to be wild reports. Case in point, at the end of May, it was reported that Chris Pine was going to join "Wonder Woman." However, as Comic-Con was approaching, word started flying around that Pine was actually offered both "Wonder Woman" and "Green Lantern," was leaning toward the latter, and would appear in San Diego as part of the Warner Bros. presentation. The Wrap reports that Pine has locked down his deal to play Steve Trevor in "Wonder Woman," with an option for sequels, with the trade noting that those aforementioned rumors were "unfounded…"

The final script for "Wonder Woman" — which was put through that multi-writer process WB is fond of — is credited to Jason Fuchs ("Pan," "Ice Age: Continental Drift") with Patty Jenkins ("Monster") slated to direct. The movie will arrive on June 23, 2017.
