Exclusive: Hear 2 Tracks From Gregory Tripi's Score For 'Dark Places' Starring Charlize Theron

nullYou might not know the name Gregory Tripi, but you’ve likely heard his work. He’s provided additional music on projects such as "The Knick" and "Contagion," and was the soundtrack producer on Nicolas Winding Refn‘s "Drive." But he’s also worked as a composer in his own right and steps into his most high profile gig yet in that capacity with "Dark Places." And today we have two samples of his compositions from the upcoming thriller.

Charlize TheronCorey Stoll, Tye Sheridan, Chloë Grace Moretz, Nicholas Hoult, Sterling Jerins and Christina Hendricks starring in an adaptation of the best-seller by "Gone Girl" author Gillian Flynn that follows Libby Day (Theron), who witnesses her family get murdered as a youngster and testifies against her brother when he is tried for the crime. 25 years later, Libby is brought before the secretive, crime-solving Kill Club who want to uncover the truth about what happened. And Tripi’s work here is both effectively eerie and cathartic, giving a nice tease of what moods the movie itself might be bringing.
