After a very rough 2010 and 2011, which saw the production of the expensive, mega-sequel "Men In Black III" go through a battery of writers, get delayed, prolonged and go through a much publicized, hellish shoot, the movie is on its way to theaters this spring. A trailer for the film hit just before Christmas and mostly focused on the time-jumping storyline and Josh Brolin's eerie Tommy Lee Jones impersonation, but we didn't see much in the way of creatures or a villain (probably because VFX are still being worked on). Well, now a peek at the baddie has surfaced.
Over on the other side of the world, the New Zealand Herald has dropped the first look (of sorts) of Jemaine Clement as the alien bad guy biker in the film. Presumably, this is his human disguise or whatever. This is easily "The Flight Of Conchords" star's biggest role to date, as he's quietly been making strides in Hollywood. He appeared a couple of years ago in the pretty terrible "Dinner For Schmucks" and recently lent his voice and a song to the animated hit "Rio." But "Men In Black III" is his biggest multiplex outing to date, which will find him squaring off against the biggest star on the planet in Will Smith.
Anyway, we'll see what he does to get under the skin of Agent J and Agent K on May 25th (in 3D of course!).
