With diehard RPatz fans trying desperately not to fall asleep during “The American” as they bone up on the movies of Anton Corbijn, they’ll have to expand their study list as another top shelf talent joins “Life.”

Joel Edgerton (rent “Animal Kingdom,” “Zero Dark Thirty” and “Warrior” kiddies) has joined Robert Pattinson and Dane DeHaan in the film that’s currently in production in Ontario, Canada. Penned by Luke Davies (“Candy“) the film inspired by the real-life friendship between Magnum photographer Dennis Stock (Pattinson) and actor James Dean (DeHaan). Edgerton will play Stock’s editor who made the deal with Life magazine for the images that would become iconic. [Variety]

Sienna Miller, who has mostly be doing underseen indies for the last while, has a big year ahead. She features in Bennett Miller‘s forthcoming “Foxcatcher,” and has now booked a role in Clint Eastwood‘s next effort. She’ll start alongside Bradley Cooper in “American Sniper,” an adaptation of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle‘s autobiography that tells the story of sniper who, in a 10-year career, bagged the most kills in Army history, leading Iraqi insurgents to place a bounty on his head. Miller will play Cooper’s wife. [The Wrap]

Lastly, Zach Galifianakis and Jon Hamm are set to reteam after first trading jabs on “Between Two Ferns,” on the comedy “Keeping Up With The Joneses.” Greg Mottola (“Superbad,” “Paul“) will direct the movie about a suburban couple who discover their neighbors are spies. So, like the hilarious version of “The Americans“? No word yet on when it will roll, but it’s off to a great start. [THR]
