'Lymelife's Asphyxiating Suburb Dramas Hits April 17th; Now With Trailer

“Lymelife,” the indie-film that premiered last year at the Toronto International Film Festival, which stars Alec Baldwin, Cynthia Nixon, Timothy Hutton, Jill Hennessey and Kieran Culkin along with his younger brother Rory has finally released a trailer in anticipation for its upcoming very-limited release date of April 17th. It comes from first-time director Derrick Martini and a script penned by his brother Steve Martini.

The film is set in a late 70’s Long Island suburb during an outbreak of Lyme disease. It follows two families who crumble when a man is infected with the disease while his wife (Cynthia Nixon) is forced to work for the womanizing real estate developer living next door (played by Baldwin). Paranoia runs wild among the two families concerning the disease and infidelity, and is only complicated when Baldwin’s son (Kieran Culkin) returns home from the army and puts in motion events that forever alter the families.

The songs in the trailer are Bob Dylan’s “Walkin’ Down The Line” and Bad Company’s “Feel Like Makin’ Love.” Screen Media Film is distributing the film, which will make its first, limited theatrical run beginning April 17th.
