In the trailer for the newest action film to hit Netflix, actors Iko Uwais and Joe Taslim, both best known for their work in “The Raid,” team up for a new action film where they find themselves on opposite sides thanks to a little girl. Taslim plays Ito, a former triad enforcer, that decides to leave the gang life after he rescues a young girl. As you might imagine, things don’t go well and Ito has to fight through many, many, many guys to earn his freedom, ultimately coming face-to-face with Uwais’ Arian.
As if those two actors weren’t enough to have you watch the film in less than two weeks, director Timo Tjahjanto should seal the deal. The young filmmaker is best known for his work on the incredible action films “Headshot” and “Killers.” We say it again, if you’re a fan of action thrillers then “The Night Comes for Us” is going to have everything you need, and then some.

The film was picked up for release by Netflix only a couple weeks ago, after a world premiere at the recent Fantastic Fest in Austin. Apparently, the streaming company must have liked what they saw to purchase the film and have such a quick turnaround for release.
“The Night Comes for Us” hits Netflix on October 19.
