October is the month for horror films. And one of those classics is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a brand new digital release.

Paramount has just released a trailer for the 50th-anniversary edition of Roman Polanski’s film “Rosemary’s Baby.” The film follows a young woman who is expecting her first child. As the young Rosemary, played incredibly by Mia Farrow, braces for the birth of her first child, her husband, played by John Cassavetes, makes a deal with the Devil for his own selfish means. As you might expect, deals with the Devil never quite pan out like people anticipate, leaving Rosemary and her husband to deal with the consequences.
Also celebrating a birthday is the advertising campaign for the iconic horror film. While we tend to overlook advertising campaigns in recent years, as the posters and trailers for horror films all look the same, “Rosemary’s Baby” was promoted with the Pray for Rosemary’s Baby campaign that would go on to influence tons of films in the ensuing decades.

So, in honor of the best month for horror films, why not treat yourself and stay inside? Just sit back and enjoy the new 50th-anniversary edition of “Rosemary’s Baby,” which is available on Digital now.
Here’s the synopsis (which definitely doesn’t mention Polanski…):
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the film that birthed a chilling new direction in horror. From Ira Levin’s best-selling novel, “Rosemary’s Baby” tells the story of a young newlywed couple who are expecting their first child. Like most first-time mothers, Rosemary (Mia Farrow) experiences confusion and fear. Her husband (John Cassavetes), an ambitious but unsuccessful actor, makes a pact with the Devil that promises to send his career skyward. The performances are extraordinary, notably Ruth Gordon’s Oscar® winning performance as an over solicitous next-door neighbor.
