Watch: 5 International TV Spots For 'Mad Max: Fury Road' Feature New Footage, More Destruction

Mad Max: Fury RoadNext month, the world burns in "Mad Max: Fury Road." The new entry into George Miller‘s sunbaked, minimal plot, maximum destruction franchise comes with what looks like the biggest effort yet. And some new international TV spots for the movie highlight more footage and a bit more of the story, such as it is.

But then again, "Mad Max" movies have always used a simple device to power the diesel-fueled narrative. In this case, the baddies want their wives, presumably freed by Charlize Theron‘s Furiosa, returned. And of course, Tom Hardy‘s Max gets in the mix and a massive chase ensues. There will be lots of vehicles being torn apart, but I’m most curious about the dude with the FLAME GUITAR playing on the car that is made of amplifiers. That is sort of dumbly amazing.

"Mad Max: Fury Road" revs up on May 15th.
