Watch: Music Video Promo Spot For 'Black Swan'

Fox Searchlight has done such a great job marketing “Black Swan” so far, so it’s disappointing to see them take such a misstep so close to the film’s release.

A new music video promo spot for “Black Swan” has arrived and unlike the trailers and posters which have done a very effective job at capturing the tenor of the film, this latest teaser points to a very different film. We’re not sure why we’re being treated a beat heavy, rave-esque spot for this film. The club sequence featured heavily in this video is yes, a key plot point to the film but certainly not indicative of the film itself. In fact, Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis don’t spend all that much time on the dance floor. We’re not sure who this spot is for or what exactly it’s trying to convey. It’s a bit of a headscratcher really but we suppose if you want to catch a couple new snippets of the film, it’s worth a view. Additionally, the spot reveals that the film contains new music from The Chemical Brothers, Al Tourettes, Jakes, Kavsrave, Pete Min and Sepalcure (featuring Angelica Best) and of course, a score by Clint Mansell.

“Black Swan” hits theaters on December 3rd — but leave the glow sticks at home. Music video after the jump (or in HD at Apple):
